Patha Bhavana

Patha Bhavana

The school Patha Bhavana was founded by the great poet Rabindranath Tagore, situated in Santiniketan, West Bengal, India. The school has its own beauty. Even now the class held in the open air, under the tree. The student fells free here and that was the dream of Tagore. Here I attached some photos of the school.

Low light Photography

Low light Photography

Low light photography is very difficult, because in this photography we have to maintain the Shutter speed, Aperture as well as the appropriate ISO speed. The Shutter speed and Aperture have to be low (like- f/4 or 3.5 or lower and shutter speed 80-60 or lower). That’s why a little shake of the camera caused a blurry image. So in this time we should use a tripod (mid duty). On the other hand we have to choose a good ISO speed. Low ISO speed can create a dim image, contrarily high ISO speed can create noisy image. I took some photos in the candle light and in the light of lantern. I gave those photos below.

Beauty of summer

Beauty of summer

We all think that summer is a bad season because it is very hot and humid weather (especially in India, West Bengal). But summer has its own beauty. If we open our mind and eyes we can feel it. Here the image tells the same story. The flower is called Amal Taas (in Bengali Bandar Lathi which means stick of a monkey. It is because the fruit of the tree is like a tail of monkey and monkey loves to eat it).

For that I am proud to be a villager (I live in a village near Santiniketan). So I can experiences the nature more than the people of a city. The image below shows how we are connected with the animals and insects in our daily life.

Tribal Lifestyle

Tribal Lifestyle

Lots of tribal people live in West Bengal, around the Santiniketan. The tribal lifestyle attracts me a lot. Our society is changing rapidly according to the economic development of the nation (India). But the lifestyle of the tribal people is same as it is with the common lifestyle of 10-20 years ago. That’s why we can see the actual country lifestyle of old India. The pictures below are form a tribal feast which I took a couple of months ago.
